Rare non-pink outfit

So yeah - she was a little ticked off at me over these photos....I am pretending that she was ticked off because her outfit wasn't pink but I am pretty sure that it was because it was just a teeny, tiny little bit past her usual nap time. But I didn't keep her up long, I do know my child labor laws.
And hey, you gotta see that she has matching paci's for her outfits....she has a pink one, and a blue one, and another pink one........

Three months

Has it been three months already?? Where IS all the time going?
Sarah is getting so big, laughing and smiling all the time....her Daddy can really get her to laughing and I love waking up every morning and looking over in to her bassinet and see her there smiling up at me.
She does hate and I mean hate Tummy Time. Oh the screams and crying that go on during Tummy Time, but it has to be done and she is getting pretty good at picking up her head. She can hold it steady on her own for a few moments at a time.
She does sleep 6-7 hours at night which is lovely....the world is a much better place when you can sleep longer than 2-3 hours at a time...I can't remember the month of May and I am pretty sure it was because that I wasn't sleeping at all.
Jason makes fun of her hair accessories (he says her flower clip is just a little bit too big) but I think they are adorable and as the Mommy I say she wears them - or at least until that point in time she decides she doesn't like them....hopefully that day is a long way off!

Picture frame project finished!

I got a project finished! I found these frames (they were once painted gold and had a very ugly picture of a gold chair chair in them....seriously, the chair was so ugly I didn't even want to take a picture of it) at Hobby Lobby in the clearance section and decided that they would look fantastic painted white and hanging in Sarah's room. And thanks to some images from The Graphics Fairy this project is now done, finished, come to an end.....I am so proud. I.got.something.DONE!
Love the Graphics Fairy - lovely blog, I love looking at all the images - you can find all kinds of things on her site.

Starting a project for Sarah's room

Found these frames - I am making them part of a project for the nursery hopefully I can have it all done by this weekend and then I can show pictures of the finished project...hanging up on the wall and everything!
And this is pretty much the only way she likes to sleep these days, on her tummy just like every doctor on the planet will tell you how not to let a baby sleep. But I only let her do this in my arms so I suppose it will just have to be okay for now.
She has begun to hold her head up a little bit and look around more - and of course she knows for sure who her mommy is and that I just the most fantastic person on the face of the planet. Does a great deal for my ego!

I can't evict these little babies...

They are just so cute! Jason took these pictures last week and these birds aren't really supposed to be using this birdhouse, it is supposed to be for Purple Martins to be using not little Sparrows. But neither one of us will evict these little birds, they are just so darling waiting for the mother bird to come back everyday and feed them.
Oh well - we probably weren't going to get any Purple Martins this year anyway so it is a good thing the birdhouse is being occupied.

2 months

Has it already been two months?? All of a sudden we have this big grown up baby, what happened to the little bitty baby that we brought home? Sarah is now weighing in at 10 pounds and 7 ounces, which is big to us considering when she was born she wasn't quite at 7 pounds.
She is trying so hard to hold up her head and gets very frustrated when she can't do it - looks like we have a little diva in training here. She cries until I feel sorry for her and sit her up and support her head (let her think she is holding up her head) so that she can look around.
You probably think she wears nothing but pink....which is pretty much true but she does have a red outfit and a yellow outfit!
She loves music and of course I really only play classical music for her (yes, I am THAT parent) but we did learn the other that she really likes Louis Armstrong...we played a few of his recordings for her and she got real quiet and then started smiling every time she heard his voice, it was pretty cute and fitting considering that she has a Cajun last name so I guess I need to break out the zydeco for her and she what she thinks of that next.
She hasn't really noticed the dogs yet - but they are protective of her. Coco seems to think that she is the mommy and I have started to refer to her as little momma. "Little Momma" gets upset with me when Sarah is crying and I haven't run down the hall to check on her right away...Coco, oh I mean little momma will come get me if she thinks I am being to slow to check on the bebe. Such a bossy little dog!
