For some reason I don't think she was having as much fun as I was.....

Some pictures from Father's Day - of course we had to get pictures with the sunglasses. She is smiling more and more every day and I got some giggles from her this week. But of course as soon as I sit down to update the blog she wakes up and needs to be fed!!

I do get outside from time to time....

I am pleased that my flowers are doing fine without me - maybe not perfectly great but they seem to be pulling through okay. Of course the flowers beds have grass in them but I suppose I can deal with it this year.

I need to have myself cloned, this household needs like three or four extra April's.....

Sarah loves her play gym that her very generous Spring Aunties sent to her, I feel so lucky to have met such a lovely group of women. We went through planning our wedding together to watching each other buy houses, get new jobs and have children. I just wish that they all lived in Texas!

Sitting here eating my oatmeal for the day - I hate oatmeal. With a passion, a very deep passion. But it is 'supposed' to help with milk production and I seem to never have quite enough for Little Miss Greedy so I will suck it up and eat the oatmeal. Seriously - I hope the oatmeal helps because it is horrible for me to have to eat this crap. But it is for her benefit so I do it. I can just see the scene in 10 years when she is older and being naughty, or yelling at me that she hates me.....I will be standing there in shock and the days of eating the nasty, slimy, oatmeal will come rushing back to me.

"What? You hate me??? Do YOU KNOW what I went through for you??? Mommy ate OATMEAL every day for you, you ungrateful child!" Is oatmeal going to become my battle cry with my child?

Caught it!

She started smiling a few days ago and I finally caught somewhat of a smile on camera! Of course she was moving around and laughing while I was trying to catch it so the pictures are blurry but that just means that we need a new camera - correct?

Running behind all the time!

I took her one month pictures on time - I just never got around to uploading a one month picture. For some odd reason it is much more fun to just sit around all day with Sarah and watch her sleep, play with her, rock her, sing to her....the time always gets away from me and before I know it, it is time to cook supper.

Yes I said supper - we don't say dinner in our house. The evening meal is supper and you say it with a bit of a Southern drawl with some of my Texas twang thrown in for good measure. :)

Visit with the Cousins!

We got OUT of the house today and got to visit with my sister and her kids this afternoon. I am so glad that my sister has moved back up to the DFW area, I know it was a big move for them and they are still unpacking boxes but I am selfishly glad to have them here. Now they are only 10 miles away instead of 4 hours away. I am already planning all kinds of get togethers, picnics, tea parties, shopping afternoons, lunch dates, play dates, suppers....well you get the point.

Naptime

Little Miss Chubby Cheeks finally went down for a brief little nap - don't worry I didn't leave her alone in the room so the blanket you see in the picture didn't ever have a chance to do any damage :)
I tell you - some days she really fights the sleep! And I think we are in the middle of another growth spurt, I have read to expect one around six weeks and we are at that point right now.
I got the most adorable package in the mail yesterday a baby gift from my cousin, a diaper bag, blanket, burp cloths and a book and the cutest little pink baby cell phone...I will have to post pictures of the cell phone tomorrow

Why hello there....

Yes, it has been a while since I have been on here - but I was in the deep agonies of pregnancy (ok it wasn't really that bad but I have to make Jason think it was....)

Anyways, mainly starting this blog up again so the parents, who get to spend half of the year up in the nice cool mountains of New Mexico and leave the rest of us here in the Texas heat can get updates on baby Sarah and see pictures of her so they won't miss out on too much of her first year.

So I will be updating more often (or as often as I can in between feedings, diaper changes, etc...)

But I don't mind when the object of all the attention is so cute!
